Sea Ox-Eye, Borrichia frutescens

Looking for an evergreen small shrub (2-3ft tall), that blooms much of the year, thrives in full sun, tolerates salty gusts of wind, sand, flooding, occasional saltwater inundation? And attracts pollinators? And is TRULY NATIVE to the Coastal Bend? Look no further than Sea Ox-Eye (or as we call it in the days leading up to Halloween, "Sea Ox-EYEBALL")!

You can't go wrong with this beautiful daisy. A host of butterflies endorse this message.

Look for it at our plant sale this Saturday, 10/26, 9a to 1p, only at Rockport Daily Grind. 302 S. Austin St, Rockport, 78382. 1g at $5/each.

UPDATED Plant Sale Schedule 2024

Yes, I know. I wrote that we were only vending at the remaining Maker's Markets at Rockport Daily Grind for the rest of 2024. But that first week was so busy, and so many of you asked us to bring plants weekly, that we have decided to do just that. Join us every Saturday, 9a to 1p, at your favorite downtown coffee shop located at 302 S. Austin St, Rockport, 78382. We will bring the rare and unusual truly native, Texas native and adapted coastal plants you have come to love.

This week's market (10/26) is Halloween themed! We will be in costumes, with a spooky booth set up and ghoulish plant names. Stop by our booth for some tricks and treats!
